THE STORY SO FAR...
Lucy and Stephen fortuitously collided some 6 years ago where their relationship started dancing together on a table in Fulham where Lucy chose only to speak French, Stephen not understanding a word, provided his own translation in the form of interpretative dance.
From their first meeting in Fulham, dare we say it the French kiss, their journey started as the two become one. The romanticism of France and the French Riviera instilled from day one, it seemed appropriate that a few months after they met Stephen accompany Lucy on a work trip to Nice. Lucy had lived in Nice for several years prior to moving to London however this was Stephen’s first time to the South of France and stepping off the plane he remarked “this feels like home” referring to the turquoise sea, sunshine and mountains and how it resembled his child hood whilst growing up in South Africa.
Read More...This first trip together seemed to have set the blueprint for their seemingly endless travel and adventures. The DINKy (double income no kids) couple have spent the past few years globe-trotting to various corners of the world and coining their own hashtag as the #sunchasers …somehow in between all of the work and travel they also managed to settle, well sort of, as they renovated their new London home in Earlsfield.
They did however find the first ray of sunshine that they had been chasing on the recent trip to New Zealand last March where Stephen proposed to Lucy in a light aircraft over the Milford Sound estuary…as a nervous flyer and to Lucy’s relief the happiness that filled the plane meant she couldn’t remember the actual landing – well played Stephen, or maybe it was the shock of the proposal, we will go with the latter.
The busy London lifestyle has kept them both on their toes, Lucy’s career sky rocketing in the interior design industry and Stephen tapping away endlessly on his laptop running his business whilst all at the same time both of them managing to continue living the champagne lifestyle on a beer budget.
Lucy, our English rose, is the epitome of kindness and the bringer of giggles who leaves a deluge of beautifully styled interior settings wherever she goes and South African born, Stephen the domestic MacGyver who is wildly creative, ever the optimist and leaves a torrent of fun in his wake.
